Elder Financial Abuse
Elder financial abuse is occurring all around you, but you won't notice it unless you look for it. If you ask enough friends, neighbors, co-workers and family members, you're bound to hear a story or two about someone 'helping themselves' to an elderly persons money and/or account(s). And how is it that someone knows it's happening but yet nothing is done to stop it? The sad fact is elder financial abuse is not yet taken seriously by our banks, law enforcement, lawmakers and society.
Well my friends, it's time to wake them up!
We need to draw attention to the silent tragedy of elder financial abuse. There are many ways you can help; most cost nothing but your time. In particular, sign the petition. The petition is a request to implement special (and optional) banking procedures for elderly customers. You'll be able to read them when you go to sign. PLEASE help me.
If you don't help me now, then someday you may be a victim yourself; and who will help you then?
